After a scam, the next step is the hard part.
Amylan helps you organize what happened, understand your options, and find the right next step — without promising an outcome we cannot control.
Independent consumer advocacy. Not a law firm. No outcome guarantee.
What we help with.
Six consumer-rights areas. One intake, reviewed by a person. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
We help with the record, not with certainty.
- Put what happened into a clear, dated timeline.
- Explain your options in plain, general language.
- Help you prepare your own complaint or letter.
- Connect you with licensed counsel when the matter needs it.
There is no charge to submit an intake. If we take on work, the scope and any fee are set out in writing before it starts.
What we won't promise.
- A definite recovery.
- A settlement on your schedule.
- A result we can control.
- Legal advice from a non-lawyer.
Those limits are the point. A clear picture of your options is more useful than a promise nobody can keep.
What happens after you press send.
Four stops. You can pause at any of them, and you are never obligated to continue.
- Stop 1
Tell us what happened
Use the intake form to give us the outline: what happened, when, what you have already tried, and what records exist. Do not send identity documents or account credentials.
- Stop 2
Eligibility and conflict check
We review the facts and jurisdiction, confirm that we can responsibly help, and check for conflicts. If we are not the right fit, we say so and explain the alternatives.
- Stop 3
Organize the record
If we proceed, we help you build a dated timeline, index the documents you already hold, and identify the gaps that matter. You keep control of the originals.
- Stop 4
Choose the next step
A complaint, a demand letter prepared for your own use, small-claims information, or a referral to licensed counsel. The path depends on the facts — not on a promise of recovery.
The pressure is the pattern.
Scams change the story, not the mechanics. Urgency, secrecy and an unusual payment method show up again and again. Reading the pattern is the first protection.

Questions before you start.
Clear answers about who we are, what we can do, and what happens to the information you share.
All questionsIs Amylan a government agency?
No. Amylan is an independent consumer advocacy company. We are not a government agency, we are not affiliated with the FTC, and no agency has endorsed or sponsored this site.
Can you promise to recover my money?
No. We do not guarantee recovery, a settlement, a fee, a timeline or any particular outcome. Anyone who guarantees a result — especially before reviewing your records — should make you cautious.
Does submitting an intake create an attorney-client relationship?
No. Submitting an intake does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not mean we have accepted the matter. Any engagement and any fee must be set out in a written agreement signed by both sides.
What text messages will I receive?
If you opt in, you will receive marketing and promotional messages about the Amylan consumer advocacy service and information about how to start an intake. We do not send legal advice, case details, or outcome, fee or settlement promises by text.
Start with what you already have.
We review the facts, explain the limits and put any scope in writing before work begins.
